Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University :: Admissions

Applications are invited for admission to M.Tech (Information Technology) Weekend Programme for the Academic Session 2002-2003. (The classes will be held only on Saturdays and Sundays).
Eligibility: Entry Level: 60% or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
Category A
A1
1. B.Tech/BE in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent.
2. MCA/MSE or equivalent three years programme.
A2
1. B.Tech/BE in Electronics & Communication/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
2. M.Sc. in IT/Computer Science/Information Science & Technology or equivalent.
3. B.Tech/BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
4. M.Sc. in Electronics or equivalent.
Category B
1. B.Tech/BE in any discipline or equivalent.
2. M.Sc. in Physics/Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent
Experience: In addition to above qualification (s), candidates should also have at least one year professional/teaching experience as on 01/08/2002.
The preference will be given to the candidates of category A. However, if there is any vacancy left then the same will be offered to the candidates of B category as per merit list of the candidates in the qualifying examinations.
There is reservation for SC/ST/Defence and Physically Handicapped category candidates. The programme being conducted under self-financing scheme and fee amounting to Rs.25000/- is payable per semester.
The price of the Information Bulleting containing application form is Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) and the same will be on sale from 06/08/2002 from the Extension Counter of Punjab & Sind Bank at Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006 in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University campus. The last date of submission of application form in the University is 23/08/2002. The merit list will be displayed in the University on 27/08/2002. The application form can also be down loaded from the website of the University ggsipu.nic.in, however, the same will be accepted in the University office if it is accompanied by a demand draft of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University payable at Delhi.
